When you visit Bangkok, you are duty bound to sample the local cuisine. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that you’ve had Thai food before. The food you eat back home is just a ‘Westernized’ version that does not contain all of the authentic spices and flavor or real Thai cuisine. The Bangkok marketplace has an array of local dishes but if you wish to dine in style, try the Praya Palazzo boutique hotel in Bangkok ‘s menu.

Spicy Shrimp Soup
of the most famous of all Thai dishes is Tom Yum Goong, otherwise known as spicy shrimp soup. It is a cavalcade of flavor with fragrant herbs and spices such as lemon grass, chili pepper, shallot and tamarind added to fresh prawns and mushrooms. The overall impact on your taste buds is nothing short of sensational. It is generally used as a starter but with the addition of rice, you have yourself a worthy main course.

Chicken & Cashew Nuts
Another signature Thai dish brought to you by the Praya Palazzo boutique hotel Bangkok is chicken with cashew nuts. One may think that this meal would be too mild to be Thai with some diners even mistaking it for a Chinese dish because it is sweet and salty. However, it is unmistakably Thai and once you sample the chicken, cashews, carrots, onions and sweet soy sauce, you won’t care where it originates from because you’ll be too busy cleaning the plate! Some of the visitors to the Praya Palazzo boutique hotel in Bangkok have had to be shaken once they have viewed what’s on offer. This is because they can’t quite believe their eyes. They thought they had booked a hotel when in actual fact, the Praya Palazzo boutique hotel in Bangkok  resembles a palace. To be precise, the hotel is a refurbished mansion that was originally built in 1923. It underwent a host of changes before we transformed it into the magnificent work of art you see today in 2009.

Our guests commonly express their admiration for the hotel and explain how they have seen similar buildings which belong to Hollywood’s elite. Their whole vacation seems like a dream because they are living like those whom they idolize on television. Never in a million years could they ever imagine emulating their multi-millionaire icons.

Yet once you set foot in the Praya Palazzo boutique hotel Bangkok, this is exactly what you are doing. The hotel only has 17 rooms which means you are among an exclusive group. You’ll notice an abundance of staff just waiting for your next request. Whether you want the most decadent meals or exotic cocktails, our staff will serve them to you while you relax in our private swimming pool which overlooks the Chao Phraya river. Despite the fact that you’re so close to the city of Bangkok, you will feel like this is your own private island. (more…)

What do you look for in a Bangkok riverside hotel? Style should be a guarantee as should first rate customer service. Guests rightly expect to have their every need tended to as soon as possible. How about amenities? Even the most luxurious hotels can be dull locations if there is nothing to do. At the Praya Palazzo Bangkok riverside hotel, no guest will ever be sat in their room wondering what they can do for the day.

How irritating is it to be told there is a swimming pool for residents only to find that half of Bangkok is in it? At the Praya Palazzo Bangkok riverside hotel, we have an outdoor swimming pool right beside the main mansion which is only available to those staying in one of our 17 rooms. The pool is open 24 hours a day and is floodlit which means you can take a relaxing dip at 4am if you wish. No need to share if you don’t want to!

Even in a city like Bangkok where you have a world of exciting entertainment options, sometimes all you want to do is relax in peace and quiet and enjoy art and literature. The Praya Palazzo Bangkok riverside hotel has its own art gallery and museum with authentic Thai artifacts from hundreds of years old on display. More erudite guests will be delighted to spend an afternoon catching up on their Thai history in our library which has hundreds of books on culture, the arts and places of interest in Bangkok. A mistake that tourists often make is to assume that all hotels and all locations within Bangkok were created equal. Anyone who has ever stayed at the Praya Palazzo boutique hotel Bangkok will tell you that there is a world of difference between a boutique hotel and an establishment which is part of a chain. Also, comparing riverside to Sukhumvit is akin to saying the moon and the sun are one and the same.

Even luxury hotel chains offer little in the way of individuality or uniqueness. Frankly, if you’ve stayed in one hotel of a chain you’ve stayed in them all. From Paris to Los Angeles to Bangkok, hotel chains never change. You have the same décor, the same rooms and the same service. The only thing different is the view and even then, you’re often stuck in a city center looking at busy streets and a cloudy sky.

At the Praya Palazzo boutique hotel in Bangkok, you will encounter something altogether different. We don’t see you as a walking credit card, we see you as an individual. When you tell us what you need, we ensure that your heart’s desires are met. From the moment we greet you at the airport (if requested) to the time we bid you a fond farewell, you will be our most esteemed guest. We have 17 rooms and each guest is treated equally. We have no single VIP’s because all our customers are valued. (more…)

When it comes to their wedding day, women all around the world have different dreams and aspirations. Yet most of them want a fairytale wedding in some exotic location, surrounded by loved ones and luxury. However, with the cost of weddings escalating, most couples are forced to settle for plan B which involves moderation. Everything is 3-star, prompt and polite but lacking the magic that such an occasion warrants.

At the Praya Palazzo Bangkok boutique hotel, we understand the dreams of soon to be wed couples. It’s grossly unfair that such a once in a lifetime occasion has to be less than perfect. This is why we have decided to offer you the reception of a lifetime at a price you can actually afford. We may be a boutique hotel in Bangkok with 17 rooms but we have the ability to cater for wedding receptions of approximately 200 people. (more…)

The Praya Palazzo boutique hotel in Bangkok is one of the new kids on the Bangkok boutique hotel block but we have already created quite a stir since opening in 2009. Publications in Bangkok, Thailand and beyond have already sat up and taken notice of the achievements we have made in such a short time. Since January 2010, we have appeared in 14 separate magazines with world famous publications such as Elle waxing lyrical about the way we do things, the location, the staff and just about everything else associated with the Praya Palazzo boutique hotel in Bangkok.

The hotel is actually a refurbished mansion that is almost 90 years old. These buildings have an extraordinary history and this is certainly part of the hotel’s charm. Unlike a host of other new hotels which are modern and lacking ambiance, the Praya Palazzo boutique hotel in Bangkok oozes charm from the interior to its exterior. Of course, we are fortunate to have such a canvas from which to work. In many ways, the location of the hotel makes our job easier. We overlook the incredible Chao Phraya river which is synonymous with the city of Bangkok.
